ABOUT
StoNykla is a long weekend swing dance adventure in the Lithuanian countryside where together we party, play, take classes, eat, swim and spend time with new and old friends. Join us for the unforgettable 17th edition of the camp!
FULL PASS INCLUDES:
- 8+ hours of dance classes
- 3 parties with live music
- 3 sauna afterparties
- Accommodation (for BYOT you need to Bring Your Own Tent)
- All meals (standard Lithuanian or vegetarian options)
- Activities (lake, volleyball, games)
CLASSES
This year’s theme – All That Jazz. We have a selection of classes covering all styles: Lindy Hop, Balboa, Shag, Solo Jazz and Blues. All classes will be open level and you can chose your own adventure. There will also be a Musicality class with the band.
PARTIES
We’ll have 3 parties with live music.
Friday night we’ll do the Crew Challenge to get to know each other.
Saturday night we’ll have classic shows and Drunk’n’Match competition.
Sunday night is the Cabaret night for all out-of-the-box, naughty and funky performances.
ARRIVAL
The camp is located in the Lithuanian countryside (Broniaus sodyba, Juodonys, Rokiškio raj., approx 130 km from Vilnius), you have few options to get there:
-> Get to Vilnius and we will help you get a ride with the local dancers
-> There will be a shuttle bus option (Vilnius-Campsite-Vilnius)
ROOM-SHARING POLICY
Make sure you read carefully information about rooms and room-sharing policies. The price and availability of each room is different.
– BYOT: bring your own tent and sleeping equipment to camp in the area, you can use common showers and toilets;
– GA: general accommodation in shared rooms, you get a bed or a spot in a double bed that you will have to share (separate covers), you choose your bed upon the arrival to the camp;
– GA Double: a room with double bed, for this option you must register and pay for 2 people who will share the bed and the room; the room is pretty small, but hey – it has a double bed and privacy;
– Single-Bed: a more private option, we have multiple rooms to choose, register early to have the best chance to have all your preferences met;
– Double-Bed: a more private option, for this option you must register and pay for 2 people who will share the bed in triple, quadruple or quintuple room. If you are a bigger group and want to stay in the room together, add that in the comments we will TRY to accommodate it;
– The Treehouse: an indeed private option, for this option you must register and pay for 2 people who will share the double-bed with private bathroom and outside kitchenette;
AMENITIES:
Common showers and toilets. Some semi-private accommodation options have separate shared bathrooms and kitchen.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Health, Safety, and Valuables: organizers and teachers are not responsible for participants’ health, physical injuries, or the safety of their valuables. Participants should exercise caution at all times and take measures to protect themselves and others.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND RECORDING
You can take pictures and videos, however we encourage a phone free space as much as possible. Saturday night we have our legendary Mix & Match competition where no filming or photos are allowed (“what happens in Stonykla, stays in Stonykla“)
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you decide to cancel, we will not refund any payments. However, you can resell your tickets, if so, please contact us in advance for a confirmation.
PAYMENT
10% discount for What a Jazz students when paying cash at What a Jazz dance studio within 7 days after registration.
If you need to pay in 2 instalments please let us know by e-mail, we’ll help you out.
